Recipe: Double Chocolate Cookies

Why is it that the things that taste so good are so bad for you?!

I love these double chocolate cookies and thought i would share this quick and easy recipe with you.

Ingredients:

200g butter

250g caster sugar

1 large egg

270g self raising flour

75g cocoa powder

Small amount of milk

2 bars of milk chocolate (I personally like Galaxy)

1 bar of white chocolate (I recommend Milkybar)

 

Method:

Pre heat oven to gas mark 6 (200 degrees celsius). Cream together the butter and sugar and then add in the self raising flour and the cocoa powder. If the mixture looks too dry then add a little bit of milk. Break up all the chocolate and add that in mixing together with your hands.

Take two large baking trays and line them both with foil.

Place ten balls of the cookie mixture onto the baking trays – making sure there is enough space for the cookies to spread out – bake for around 12 minutes. The cookies will still be soft when taken out of the oven so leave them to cool for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes remove the cookies from the baking trays and place them onto a wired rack for a further 15 minutes until cool.

These cookies go well with a nice hot cup of tea. Enjoy!
